Bandits who abducted three children of a medical doctor in Unguwar Azala in the Katari area in Kachia LGA of Kaduna State have demanded two brand new motorcycles after collecting a N3.2 million ransom.

City & Crime earlier reported that bandits, on May 13, invaded the doctor’s resident and whisked away three of his children.

A source, who is into negotiation on behalf of the doctor’s family with the bandits, who spoke with our reporter through telephone on condition of anonymity on Thursday, said the bandits insisted that the family must bring two motorcycles to them before the children were released.

He said the bandits’ leader made the demand after he agreed to collect a ransom of N3.2m which was taken to them on Tuesday at a location bordering Kagarko and Kachia LGAs.

He further said, “Apart from the N3.2m the family took to them, they also bought a bag of rice, a carton of Maggi, spaghetti and drugs for them.’’

The spokesman of the Kaduna State Police Command, ASP Hassan Mansur, was yet to react on the development.
