Terrorists have demanded N250 million from residents of Alalwa Community in Shiroro LGA of Niger State to release those they kidnapped from the community.
Residents told City & Crime that 20 women and 5 children are still in captivity due to their inability to raise the money to pay the ransom.
One of the residents, Mallam Yahuza Allawa, said 15 residents of the community had been killed by terrorists in February.
Our correspondent reports how terrorists invaded the community on Sunday, burning down houses, food stuffs, motorcycles and domestic animals.
Residents called on the government and well-to-do individuals to support the victims of Sunday attack with food stuffs, saying most of them have nothing left to eat as terrorists burnt down dozens of bags of assorted food stuffs stored in their homes.
