Bandits have released two women they abducted after collecting foodstuffs, cough syrup and wine in Maraban Jibo in Kachia LGA of Kaduna State.

A community leader who preferred anonymity said the victims were released on Wednesday around 6pm in neighbouring Azzara village after foodstuffs, one carton of cough syrup and wine were handed over to them, adding that they did not demand cash, but that the foodstuffs, drugs and wine cost the family N275,000.

The spokesman of the Kaduna State Police Command, ASP Hassan Mansur, was yet to comment on the release.
