Suspected terrorists have reportedly kidnapped a former Commandant of the Zamfara State Road Traffic Regulatory Agency, ZAROTA, retired Colonel Rabi’u Garba and two of his children along Gusau-Tsafe road in Zamfara State.
A resident of the troubled community explained that Garba was returning to his country home, Yandoto with two of his children on Sunday, 1st January, 2023 in the night when the terrorists kidnapped them.
Locals in the area said they ran into the bush for fear of the terrorists when they heard gunshots.

The locals said they later discovered that retired Colonel Garba who was whisked away with two of his children was their target.
Meanwhile, the police, which confirmed the incident, said its mobilised tactical operatives were currently carrying out a rigorous rescue operation in the surrounding bush to ensure the rescue of the three kidnapped victims unhurt.
