Suspected bandits have shot dead two farmers and escaped with their motorcycles in Kurmin-Kare village in Kachia LGA of Kaduna State.
City & Crime learnt that the bandits were escaping after soldiers raided their camp in Chigbolu community last Thursday where 13 abducted victims were rescued.
A community leader, who disclosed this to our reporter through telephone on Tuesday, gave the names of the deceased farmers as Audu Bala and Jonathan Moses.
He said the farmers were working on their farms when two of the fleeing bandits came from the bush, opened fire on them and killed them on the spot before escaping with their bikes.

The spokesman of the Kaduna State Police Command, ASP Hassan Mansur, could not be reached for comment on the incident.
