Bandits kill vigilante leader, 3 others in Kaduna village

Bandits on motorcycles on Wednesday attacked a village market in Galadimawa, Giwa Local Government Area of Kaduna State and killed a vigilante leader and three others.

Daily Trust gathered that the incident, which occurred around 2 pm, caused pandemonium in the market as traders from neighbouring villages and residents scrambled for safety.

Hussaini Galadimawa, a resident of the area gave the name of the slain vigilante leader as Magaji Iyatawa.

Kaduna State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mohammed Jalige, when contacted, confirmed the killing of the vigilante leader.

ASP Jalige, however, said the command was yet to receive a situation report on the three others killed on the highway but stressed that security operatives had immediately chased out the bandits.
