Bandits have raided eight rural communities, killed two people and rustled several cows in Kachia LGA of Kaduna State.
City & Crime gathered that the communities raided are Anguwar-Doka, Kurutu, Mai-Ido, Hayin-Dam, Awom, Arikon, Gidan-Makeri and Rijana.
A resident of Gidan-Makeri, Alhaji Ado Yakubu, told our reporter through telephone on Sunday that the bandits attacked the villages last Thursday between 4pm and 6pm and shot dead two herders in Kurutu village.
He explained that, “In fact, in Kurutu village alone, the bandits rustled 128 cows after they shot two herders.”
Yakubu said the bandits also stole foodstuffs from the villages.
The spokesman of the Kaduna State Police Command, SP Hassan Mansur, did not pick calls or reply to a text message sent to him on the incident.
