Gunmen have shot a businessman, Godiya Ishaya, and abducted his 15-year- old daughter in New Bwari community in Tafa LGA of Niger State.
A resident, who preferred to remain anonymous, said one of the kidnappers jumped into the man’s house around 12am before the others joined him and dragged the man out of the compound.
He said, “His wife pleaded with them to provide clothes for him, only for the man to attempt to escape.
“They trailed him and shot him before cutting him with machetes, leaving him in the pool of his blood.’’

He further said that the gunmen then abducted his daughter and fled the community after noticing the arrival of vigilantes.
It was further learnt that two mobile phones owned by the gunmen fell and were handed over to the security men.
