An official of a new generation bank simply identified as Nosa has been reportedly killed by gunmen suspected to be cultists in Edo State.
It was gathered that the deceased was killed last Thursday at the Reservation Area of Benin City, the state capital.
It was also gathered that while in office, the deceased received a call from his friends, who told him to come to a joint after close of work so that they would to hang out for the evening. Not suspecting any foul play, he went to meet his callers at their usual joint.
Our source said that the deceased, while on his way to the place, his assailants, who may have been trailing him, blocked his vehicle with their car and opened fire on him. He was said to have been rushed to the hospital, where he was confirmed dead.

The spokesperson of the police in the state, SP Chidi Nwanbuzor, confirmed the incident.
“It is an unfortunate incident. As I speak, the matter is under investigation.
Our investigation would be made public and the perpetrators would be brought to book,” he said.
