The delegates took this decision while considering and adopting report of the committee on economy, trade and investment chaired by Hajiya Bola Shagaya and her deputy Fola Adeola. The conference resolved also that operators of micro- and medium enterprises should be given tax holiday for three years.
It was agreed that there should be a national e-commerce policy. The delegates resolved that local textile be exempted from VAT for a period of d three years, calling on government to impose levy on imported textile products.
The conference couldn’t take all the amendments to the report, it was therefore resolved that the remaining amendments would be taken on Monday.
