The Pan-African music awards certainly made a right choice picking the duo – For Banky, it’s been a busy year even though he didn’t release any new solo projects; his grooming of his E-M-E label’s younger acts Wizkid and Skales has kept the singer quite busy. Banky also signed up with Samsung as a brand ambassador and was also chosen as one of this year’s headline acts for the Hennessy Artistry Project.

“It is truly a great honour for me to be chosen as this year’s host. Channel O has been one of the greatest platforms for African artists over the years, and the award show is always a spectacular event,” Banky W says.

Ever since Dineo took up the role of O-Access presenter last year, the National School of the Arts graduate has become quite popular in the South African region. Also a musician, she featured in the new Winnie Mandela movie starring Terrence Howard and Jennifer Hudson.

“Of all the peaks during my time at Channel O, I never imagined this would come my way. I am honoured, humbled, pleasantly surprised and ever so grateful to be hosting this year’s Channel O Music Video Awards,” Dineo happily says.

The awards show will be broadcast live from the Sandton Convention Center.
