Christians have been charged to pray fervently for the country to stimulate its economy and overcome the current economic hardship.
A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, (APC), Alhaji Abubakar Kawu Baraje, made the remarks yesterday in a Christmas message from his media office in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.
Similarly, he appealed to Nigerians to pray hard so that the country can equally overcome its security challenges.
He stressed the need for those performing holy pilgrimage in Jerusalem to beseech Jesus Christ to come to the rescue of Nigeria, saying that the country is in dire need of prayers to confront her present economy recession.
Baraje while urging Christians to emulate the exemplary lifestyle and leadership qualities of Jesus Christ asked them not to over celebrate Christmas but see it as a sober reflection and period of prayers.
