Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau I Jibrin, has sent condolences to the family of Kano’s leading female politician, Hajiya Surayya Aminu, who died in a ghastly motor accident.

Sai Mama died on Saturday in a ghastly motor accident while travelling along Ikare Road, Ondo State.

The Chief of Staff to the Deputy President of the Senate, Professor Muhammad Ibn Abdullah, led a delegation of the Deputy President of the Senate to the residence of the late politician, Sai Mama.

In a statement by the spokesperson of the Deputy President of the Senate, Ismail Mudashir, prayed to Allah SWT to grant the deceased Aljannatul Firdausi and give all those she left behind the strength to endure the pains of her passage.

“It is with a heavy heart that I extend my deepest condolences to the family of Hajiya Surayya Aminu, famously known as Sai Mama, who died in a ghastly motor accident.

“In this moment of profound loss, my thoughts and prayers are with the mother of the deceased, her husband and children. May Allah SWT forgive Hajia Surayya her shortcomings, grant her Aljannatul Firdausi and give all those she left behind the strength and patience to endure this loss,” he said.

Meanwhile, Senator Barau, through his Chief of Staff, has paid a condolence visit to Alhaji Kawu Idris, his political associate, on the demise of his senior sister.

The Chief of Staff donated money to the two families on behalf of the Deputy President of the Senate.
