Ambassador Shuaibu Ahmed Adamu has emerged the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) governorship candidate in Bauchi State.
He defeated Mahmood Mai Jama’a Ajiya at the party’s primaries held in Bauchi. Adamu secured 292 votes against Mai Jama’a’s 224 votes and was declared the winner by the party’s election panel chairman, Professor Muhammad K. Aliyu.
It would be recalled that prior to the primaries, the party had five gubernatorial aspirants but Alhaji Usman Ahmed Adamu (Suphi) withdrew from the contest and supported Ambassador Adamu.
