Bauchi appoints Professor Ahmed, chairman committee on land administration

The Bauchi State governor, Alhaji Muhammad Abdullahi Abubakar, has approved the appointment of Professor Adamu Ahmad of the department of Urban and Regional Planning of Ahmadu Bello University Zaria as chairman of the state’s committee on land administration system.
Also appointed to serve on the committee were  (Tpl.) Shehu Aliyu Musa, Tpl. Nasir Shehu, Alhaji Abdullahi Dabo, Representative of  Attorney General/Commissioner for Justice, Alhaji Yahaya Baba, Mallam Abdullahi Muhammad Gwaram and Mallam Muhammad Bello as secretary.
According to the letter conveying the appointment signed by the permanent secretary, political affairs, Mallam Hashimu Yakubu, for the secretary to the state government, terms of reference of the committee include reviewing the state’s land administration system and propose it’s restructuring for effective and efficient service.
The committee has also been mandated to, among other terms, review the contract signed between the  Bauchi State government and Messrs SIVAN DS DESIGN on the computerisation of the state’s land and Geoinformation  System (BAGIS).
