Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has directed all political appointees seeking elective offices to resign on or before 24 April 2027.
A statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity Mukhtar Gidado, saying , “This directive is in line with statutory requirements governing the participation of public office holders in electoral processes and is aimed at ensuring full compliance with the law.”
He said, “All such appointees are further directed to hand over all government property in their possession, as well as the responsibilities of their offices, to the appropriate person ( officer ) within their respective Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs.”
