Bauchi State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said the verification of 41,448 workers is not meant to victimise or retrench any worker but to fish out ghost workers on the government’s payroll in the state.

State PDP Publicity Secretary Yayanuwa Zainabari, who stated this while reacting to the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) claims that the ruling party was planning to retrench workers in a telephone interview, said the exercise was to verify workers in the state without Bank Verification Numbers (BVN).
