Wanka died yesterday in a hospital in Jiddah, Saudi Arabia, after a brief illness.
Confirming the death, the Turakin Bauchi, Engineer Zubairu Yakubu, said the demise of late Magajin Gari has created a vacuum that will be difficult to fill.
He described the late Magajin Garin Bauchi as humble, humane and generous person, who lived in peace with everyone.

According to the Turakin Bauchi, the death of late Magajin Gari shocked not only the Bauchi emirate, but the entire state and beyond.
“Late Magajin Garin Bauchi was a religious, humble and jovial person. Bauchi State has lost a complete gentleman.
“ The Magaji was a hardworking person during his life time. Of all the places he worked, he was never found to be a lazy worker. He worked in both public and private sectors.
“He was among the founders of Ashaka cement company and also worked in the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), NNPCLand NNDC”, he said.
The late Magaji is survived by two wives and children. He was buried in Saudi Arabia according to Islamic injunctions.
