Bauchi new CP vows to take fight to bandits, kidnappers

The newly deployed Commissioner of Police (CP) in Bauchi State, Alhassan Aminu, has vowed to take the fight against bandits and kidnappers to their hideouts.

CP Aminu, who disclosed this in his maiden press briefing, said that his command would collaborate with the military, Department of State Services (DSS) and other sister security agencies to launch an intensive operation to raid all the criminal hideouts, especially in Alkaleri, Ningi and Toro LGAs.

He said, “When I arrived yesterday (Monday), I heard that bandits and kidnappers are terrorising the people of some LGAs. Even yesterday I learnt that one person was kidnapped in Ningi LGA.  What I plan to do against the bandits and kidnappers are joint operations with the military, DSS, civil defence to take the fight to their hideouts across the state.”
