Bauchi pays N2.4bn UBEC counterpart funding

Bauchi State government has released over N2.4 billion as its counterpart funding for the UBEC/SUBEB 2016 projects in the state. 

The Executive Chairman, Bauchi State Universal Basic Education Board (BASUBEB), Professor Yahaya Ibrahim Yero, disclosed this at an interactive session with successful contractors and service providers.

He noted that the interactive session was organised to show the contractors samples of materials to be used for the various projects in accordance with government’s specifications. 

Professor Yero disclosed that to ensure the execution of qualitative work, the board had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the service providers. 

He however warned the contractors against giving bribe or gratification to anybody as anyone found wanting would be sanctioned.
