Bauchi State government has provided the land in Azare, Katagum Local Government Area to the Federal Ministry of Works, Power and Housing for the second phase of the Federal Housing Programme.
Director General of Bauchi Geographic Information System ( BAGIS) , Baba Suleman Katagum disclosed this while addressing a press conference in Bauchi.
He said that Governor Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar has also approved the payment of N100 million to land owners of the proposed Islamic University which will be sited in Alkaleri Local Government Area of the state.
He said that the university project will be supported by the Saudi Arabian government.
According to him, the governor has also approved the allocation of land to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) project for the construction of a secondary school in Bauchi metropolis.
The governor according to the BAGIS boss however revoked a 600 hectare-land allocated to the Federal Ministry of Agriculture.
He said that the Bauchi State government retrieved the farm from the ministry and re-allocated it to its original owners, the Bauchi Investment Company.
