Bauchi state judiciary opens High Court, Mobile court in Azare

 Bauchi State Judiciary has opened a new High Court of Justice and Environmental Sanitation mobile court in Azare to take care of cases from the Bauchi northern senatorial zone.‎

Speaking at the opening ceremony, the State Chief Judge Justice Rabi Talatu Umar, urged judicial officers in the state to be committed to their responsibilities.

She said that the establishment of the courts is the first of its kind in the state and would reduce the shuttling of people to and from Bauchi by litigants from the area.

According to her, the high court annex will entertain cases from Gamawa, Shira, Itas Gadau, Jama’are, Katagum and Zaki local government areas.

She commended Governor Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar for the initiative which she said will go a long way towards promoting quick dispensation of justice in the state.

In his remarks, the state commissioner of Justice Barrister Haruna D. Muhammad, extolled the commitment of the state government to achieve quick dispensation of justice in the state.

Barrister Muhammad called on staff of the court to reciprocate the gesture by being dedicated to their duty.

In a goodwill message, the Emir of Katagum, Alhaji Umar Faruq II expressed gratitude to Governor Abubakar for the project which he said will reduce the hardships being experience by  litigants from thea area.

Also speaking, the State Chairman, Nigeria Bar Association Barrister M.A. Maidoki, commended the State Chief Judge for her effort in reorganizing the state legal system.

He called on the state government to consider the commencement of the second phases of the State High Court and Magistrate Courts to reduce the congestion in the courts.‎
