Bauchi to partner professionals on infrastructure

Governor Muhammed Abdullahi Abubakar of Bauchi State said his administration has a well articulated programme for turning around the fortunes of the state and will go into partnership with any professional body that has something to contribute to the government’s and APC restoration agenda.
The governor stated this while addressing members of the Nigerian Institute of Architects (NIA) who paid him a courtesy visit in Bauchi.
Lamenting the incidence of collapsed structures in the country, the governor called for internal controls among the professional bodies especially those involved in construction works in order to check quackery.
He said his administration is poised to resuscitate the collapsed infrastructure in the state as promised to the electorate during campaigns.
“My government is a government of professionals to partner with the institute. We do need professionals to help us in putting up the best infrastructure especially in the area of tourism which we are investing so much to harness.
In his remarks, the NIA president Mr. Tonye Braide said the institute will help the government in bringing out the tourism potentials of the state and offered to partner with the state in that regards.
