Bauchi State Government is to vaccinate 1.6 million livestock against various animal contagious diseases in the state.

The Commissioner of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Barrister Yakubu Kirfi, disclosed this at the 2018 livestock vaccination campaign flagged off in Chinade, Katagum Local Government Area of the state.

.In his address, Governor Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar said N39,524,500 was released  for the vaccination of livestock against preventable diseases across the state.

Governor Abubakar, who was represented by his deputy, Architect Audu Sule Katagum, said the livestock agricultural subsector has been playing a vital role in the economic and social wellbeing of people of the state.
