The police in Bayelsa State have arrested two suspected bank robbers who specialised in trailing customers and robbing them of their withdrawals.

The police spokesman in the state, DSP Asinim Butswat, told newsmen on Wednesday that one Henry Kingsley, from Nembe LGA of Bayelsa State and one Moses Roland from Ughelli South LGA of Delta State, were arrested around UBA in Swali, Yenagoa in possession of one locally made revolver pistol with one .9mm live ammunition and one locally made pistol with one AA live ammunition while waiting for their next victim in a tricycle.

He said security measures put in place for the yuletide in the state by the Commissioner of Police, Mr Aminu Pai Saleh, are yielding positive results.

“The suspects are in police custody and are undergoing interrogation. Members of the public are advised to report any suspicious movement of persons in their neighbourhoods to the police,” he said.
