The PDP has clinched the two senatorial seats contested in last Saturday’s by-elections in Bayelsa State.
Announcing the result of Bayelsa West senatorial district, the Returning Officer, Prof. Okechukwu Okeke of the Federal University, Otuoke, said former Governor Seriake Dickson of PDP polled a total of 115,257 votes to defeat the former Deputy Governor, Peremobowei Ebebi of APC who polled 17,500 votes.
Also, in Bayelsa Central, PDP candidate Moses Cleopas polled 101,072 votes to defeat the APC candidate, Abel Ebifemowei, who polled 18,947 votes.
The Returning Officer for Bayelsa Central Senatorial by-election Prof. Emmanuel Akpan of the Federal University, Otuoke, while declaring the result, announced the PDP candidate winner.
