Bayelsa State Ministry of Education has announced the cancellation of the general paper in the ongoing recruitment examination for employment of teachers into post-primary schools in the state.
The Commissioner for Education, Dr. Gentle Emelah, who announced the cancellation in a statement yesterday, said the paper was leaked to the candidates before the commencement of the examination.
Shortlisted candidates for recruitment as teachers into secondary schools in the state are currently writing examinations as part of the interview for the job.
The statement reads: “The Honourable Commissioner for Education, Bayelsa State, Hon. Dr. Gentle E. Emelah has directed the immediate cancellation of the subject in the ongoing Post Primary Schools Teachers recruitment exercise.

“The cancellation is due to reports that “General Paper (Education)” was leaked to candidates by unidentified persons.
“The paper, which is a core subject in the exercise, is therefore cancelled and an administrative committee will be set up to immediately investigate the report.” He said.
