The amount is given yearly by the senator to the students as bursary allowances.
A statement jointly signed by Ofoni Solomon and Paul Teobor Git and Tobi Sufade Jefferson, said the law students studying in the nation’s law schools in Abuja, Enugu and Kano got N50, 000 each.
It described the gesture by the senator as a huge source of inspiration to them, adding that it has helped in relieving the students and their parents of some of their financial burden.
The students pledged to work hard and come out in flying colours in order to justify the support, appealing to other lawmakers from the state to emulate Senator Lokpobiri by offering similar assistance to students in their respective zones.
