After another thrilling day of competition across multiple venues, the official Day 3 medals table of the National Sports Festival sees Bayelsa State taking the lead with a total of 27 medals: 16 gold, 6 silver, and 5 bronze.
Close behind is Delta State, with 21 medals in total—10 gold, 5 silver, and 6 bronze. Osun State holds third position with 7 medals: 6 gold, 1 silver, and 0 bronze.
Rivers sits in fourth place, having secured 12 medals: 5 gold, 3 silver and 4 bronze while Lagos State rounds out the top five with 4 gold, 7 silver, and 10 bronze.
Making a notable impact, the Invited Junior Athletes (IJA) continue to outperform expectations, currently sitting in sixth place with 2 gold, 1 silver, and 1 bronze.

Meanwhile, defending champions and tournament favourites, Delta State, find themselves in a surprising seventh place after Day 3, with 1 gold, 1 silver, and 1 bronze.
So far, a total of 71 medals have been awarded: 23 gold, 23 silver, and 25 bronze, as the festival continues to grow in excitement, intensity, and overall competition quality.
The Director General of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Hon. Bukola Olopade, has urged journalists covering the event to refer only to the Commission’s official medals table for updates, cautioning against the use of unverified or self-generated figures circulating online.
Competition continued across various venues, with more drama and medal shifts expected as the action heats up.
