A professor of Islamic jurisprudence, AbdulRazaq AbdulMajeed Alaro, has advised those in leadership positions and the public to always be conscious of the day they will stand before Almighty Allah to account for their deeds.

The cleric said the conscious remembrance of this fact was capable of reforming people’s conduct beyond any policing agencies.

Alaro spoke during the graduation and formal opening of As-Sunnah College complex in Ilorin, Kwara State capital.

He said, “We appeal to our leaders to always realise they have our trust which must be discharged to the best of their ability. We are all going to account for our deeds, both the leaders and the led.

“There is no doubt that we have multiple challenges plaguing the country but Islam has a solution to every problem headed by the consciousness of Almighty Allah. 

“By this, everyone is expected to play their roles whether in leadership or followership positions.

“This blame game between the leaders and followers should stop and we must show respect to whomever Allah has put in a position.”
