The National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) has urged citizens in Plateau State, to be more security conscious  whenever they are travelling, especially outside the state.

The union, which also advised passengers not to be travelling at night as kidnappers often take advantage to kidnap innocent citizens, said they should always board vehicles at approved motor parks.

Alhaji Shehu Muhammad, NURTW’s  chairman in the state gave the advice yesterday while hosting hundreds of KekeNAPEP riders who left their various unions to join NURTW.

Alhaji  Shehu called on them to cooperate with the government in promoting peace and sanitising their members in the state.

Anas Abubakar Mai Hali who led the operators, promised to be law abiding members.
