Beeta Arts Festival (BAF) is gearing up for its third edition in Abuja, scheduled to take place from December 6 to 10, 2023. The festival, known as an incubation hub for African arts and culture, aims to foster collaboration and interaction among creatives to enhance dialogue in the arts and culture sector.
Funmbi Popoola, in a statement, revealed that the festival will be held at the Abuja Continental Hotel, emphasizing the hotel’s commitment to supporting local creativity as BAF seeks to provide a platform for emerging and established African artists, showcasing a diverse range of performances, films, workshops, and conversations.
Bikiya Graham-Douglas, the brain behind the festival, also expressed a belief in the arts’ power to transcend boundaries and unite people.
She said, “This festival is a celebration of the vibrant artistic spirit that defines who we are, and we invite the world to join us in this cultural festivity.”

The festival’s theme for this year is ‘New Narratives, Limitless Possibilities,’ featuring plays and films curated by Fibby Kioria, Hawa Essuman, and Olarotimi Fakunle. The festival will also spotlight the Orange Nigeria Project’s initiative to eliminate gender-based violence (GBV) and feature a documentary film by Sarah Moshman.
