‘Belema oil creates 3000 direct employment, 36000 indirect labour’

The President of Belema Petroleum, Mr Jack-rich Tiens says  the company has engaged more than 3000 personnel in its direct employment drive while about 36000 skilled and unskilled labour were also created.

Mr Tiens who disclosed this when he played host to America Consul General in Nigeria, Mr John Bray’s at the company’s corporate headquarters in Port Harcourt said over 100 graduates are currently under going training in different technical and engineering fields.

He said that the company has  employed about 36000 monitoring patrol guards as well as skilled and unskilled artisans, who he  said, earned their daily income  from the company.

He said, “The company’s cooperation and partnership with host communities has guaranteed economic activities, creates jobs, empowers our host communities, ensuring  peace and stability within the Niger Delta.”

He said that the company through its partnership drive has created more jobs by encouraging  technical  and non-technical companies to grow their local competencies and capacities.

Mr Bray’s in his response  said that America would  encourage its investors to partner with the company in job creation and business development.
