The minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Malam Muhammad Musa Bello, has enjoined all Christians resident in the territory to use the occasion of the Christmas to reflect and to rededicate themselves to the virtues of love, unity and peace.
The minister gave the charge in a Christmas message to residents during the festivities.
“On behalf of the administration of the Federal Capital Territory, it is my pleasure to wish all FCT citizens, especially the Christian faithful, a Merry Christmas,” he said.
He appealed to all Nigerians, especially the Christian faithful, to use the season to “pray for our leaders and indeed, our country Nigeria, that we may enjoy peace and progress in the coming years.”
Malam Bello also urged all residents to be security conscious and report all suspicious movements to the nearest security agencies. He assured that the administration will continue to work in concert with the security community to guarantee safety of lives and property in the FCT, especially during the yuletide season.
