Beginning with the national anthem in a classical rendition by the choir, guests were treated to a complete classics, dance drama and mime.
Speaking at the event, First Lady, Dame Patience Goodluck implored the choir and Nigerian youth not to only use the opportunity to develop themselves, but also make the society a better place. She then urged guests and well meaning Nigerians to donate towards APAC, saying it is a laudable project and the group should keep up in the same good light in which it has begun. 
Bringing back fond childhood memories was the apt combined performance by Art-Alade and the AMEMUCITO choir as the crowd sang along each of the tunes of the popular musical Sounds of Music. The Nigerianised version of the piece, featured Capt. Polycarp (Art-Alade) as a father of eight who played out the roles of the seven children in the original piece.
The manager, Public Relations, Mr. Shola Adeyemo of the Transcorp Hilton, said the hotel has played host to all editions of Operabuja in accordance with the mandate of the hotel as a unifying point. “Hilton Hotels all over the world are meeting places bringing together people of different races. Looking at Operabuja and AMEMUSO initiated by Chilean married to German and has brought different Nigerians to be a part of it.
“The concert is a meeting place for nationals of different countries. Omo Bello is a Nigerian sponsored by the French and has become an international star. Also Sounds of Music is not originally Nigerian but has been well performed by Nigerians. As a hotel, we will reinforce the fact that we are one people though we speak different languages.”
The event brought together the Europera Ensemble of conductor, Walter-Michael Vollhardt; violoncello, Robert Stepp; flutist Julian Manthey and violinist Maria Azova.
