President Bola Ahmed Tinubu deserves commendation for the nomination of Barrister Bello Muhammad Goronyo for a ministerial position. This can rekindle the hope of Nigerian youths.

To achieve the vision of eliminating poverty and achieve sustainable economic growth and human development, the UNDP mandate requires the input of youths to accelerate national growth in governance.

The young man, who served as the Commissioner of Information in the government of Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, has many feathers to his cap.

Making Goronyo a minister will give youths voice in the Tinubu government and champion the cause of youths’ political development within the periscope of UNDP and the Sustainable Development Goal 4.

With 70 per cent of youths’ population and 64 per cent of unemployed youths in Nigeria, Goronyo and other youths in Tinubu’s government will help in improving youths’ welfare and prospect in the country.

While it is a nomination for the people of Sokoto State, it is going to benefit the North-West and Nigeria.

Auwal Ahmed Ibrahim Goronyo, a lecturer, writes from Kaduna.
