A star-studded movie, Bent Arrows features the likes of award-winning personalities Joke Silva, Olu Jacobs, Stella Damasus, Enebeli Elebuwa, Desmond Elliot, Ngozi Ezeonu, and Omoni Oboli.  

Child labour which manifests in various forms has been an issue ravaging the world with child abuse especially in the sexual content being one of the foremost. Ironically, one of the major reasons for which children are entangled in such situations is as a result of parents’ failure to play their role in the lives of their children. The actors through the various scenes have explicitly illuminated the human consequences of sexual abuse, betrayal, undue parental control and the male child syndrome on both the society, with particular emphasis on the girl-child.

Bent Arrows has pierced an opening in the Nigerian film industry in that it is the first time that an independent soundtrack album was produced for a movie. In this case it is a production of the spectacular Cobhams Asuquo. It also features a range of home-grown artistes like Nikki Laoye, Styl Plus, and the Rooftop Mcs, amongst others who have done songs in a variety of genres from ballad, to blues, to hip-hop.

From Holding Hope to Busting out to Save our Souls, Nollywood seems to be in the mood for movie premiering.

The seven-track album comprises of songs like Bent Arrow, Can’t get over you, Loved From the Start and A Brighter Day Will Come.

According to the producer and financier of the soundtrack , “Bent Arrows was post-produced in South Africa to bring the work to international standards. It is in a class of its own and is a film that is not hideous about the realities of life; it shows that things may not always go the way we plan, and sometimes we will meet with circumstances that will pull us down but if we have faith we can rise above any challenge’.

Written to connect with audiences within and outside Nigeria, Bent Arrows is set to be a yardstick for excellent and innovative entertainment.
