Sunday Trust gathered that the abductors of the chairman of the Independent Oil Marketers in the state are currently demanding N10 million for the release of the oil merchant but the police could not confirm the claim.
 
 State command Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP. Daniel Ezeala, who said that the police has commenced investigation into the matter explained that the oil dealer was abducted while he made a turn to go to his residence on Tuesday.
According to Ezeala, the Highlander jeep which the abductee rode in before he was captured had been recovered even as effort is being made to rescue him.
However, in protest of the abduction of their colleague, filling stations in the town have remained shut, giving opportunity to black markets to thrive.
It was learnt that a litre of fuel in the black market is now sold at between N250 to N300 since the incident occurred.
Sunday Trust reports that a similar incident occurred in Katsina-Ala axis of the state recently but the kidnapped business man was found dead on the bridge one week after his abduction.
