The Benue State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), in collaboration with the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC), has launched a four-day capacity-building workshop aimed at enhancing digital literacy and ICT-based teaching in basic schools.
Executive Chairman of SUBEB, Grace Adagba, said the initiative is designed to equip teachers with practical digital skills and knowledge essential for driving ICT-enabled learning in classrooms.
She described the effort as a strategic move to align pupils in Benue State with global education standards, adding that embracing digital teaching methods is crucial for modern-day education.
One of the facilitators, Dr. Erdoo Kuhwa, noted, “We are stimulating our teachers towards digital teaching skills. It is expected that they will, in turn, transmit these skills to their learners.”
