Benue: Volunteer guards nab 3 robbers

 

The operatives of the Benue State Community Volunteer Guards (BSCVG) have apprehended three suspected armed robbers between Opkokwu and Ogbadibo LGAs of the state.

The Special Adviser (SA) on Security and Internal Affairs to the Governor, Chief Joseph Har, who disclosed that the suspects were apprehended on Wednesday at about 8ppm, said the suspects were Audu Godwin, also known as Hazard; Sunday Destiny and Ameh John, popularly called Aboki.

He said they were caught after the security operatives on patrol along Odoba Hill got information that armed robbers were operating along the boundary between Opkokwu and Ogbadibo LGAs.

Har said that the suspected armed robbers had concluded their operation but that the team went after them and were able to bring one down and others apprehended and handed over to the police.
