Don’t be dragged into the corporate tech war between The West and East under the guise of some COVID-19 conspiracy theory.
The truth is, be it 2G, 3G, 4G or the most recent 5G; RF (Radio Frequency) radiation emissions both from our phones and telecom masts have always been a health risk to human beings. There are countless research papers that have linked RF radiation to cancer, just as there are dozens of research papers denying RF radiation is a major health risk.
The question is: If RF radiation has been a concern all these years but has not affected the rollout of 2G, 3G and 4G, why all the buzz about 5G and the desperation to link 5G to the biggest health crises of our time?
Answer: Western companies seem to be playing catch-up in the mobile equipment business so long as 5G is concerned as against Eastern companies. Huawei is already a leader in providing infrastructure for 5G base stations. The company is the darling of telecom providers around the globe as it powering the next generation telecom masts. When it comes to end devices (smart phones) Samsung, Mediatek and Huawei are giving Qualcomm (American end device chip maker) a run for their money. These three Eastern tech companies are providing high performance 5G chips for smartphone makers around the world.
I put it to you that some people are pushing the crazy conspiracy theories to buy western tech companies time to catch up on the easterners for control of global telecom industry.
Like it or not 5G is the future; technology that can transmit 1-10Gbps as against 4G, whose peak is 100Mbps is the future.
Remember the Yankees blocked Huawei from accessing Google services over allegations of espionage?
Some people are obviously not happy they don’t have a solid grip on a tech that will certainly shape the future.
