The chief of Rubochi in Kuje Area Council, Alhaji Mohammed Ibrahim Pada, has advised the chairman of the council, Alhaji Abdullahi D. Galadima, to beware of sycophants.
Pada, who gave the advice when the council chairman paid him a visit at his palace, weekend, said that sycophants would cause disaffection between him and the masses that voted him into office.
He called on the chairman embrace everybody, irrespective of ethnic, religious and political differences, saying that he should see his position as predestined and play role of a leader to all.
“That was what affected the past PDP administration, where some people will go to the chairman to tell him all sorts of lies, just to solicit for either financial assistance or otherwise. I am advising you to be wary of such sycophants,” he said.
The traditional ruler urged the chairman to address the perennial water problem facing the community.
Earlier, the chairman of the council said that he prioritised provision of rural infrastructure that would have direct bearing on the lives of the entire people of the council.
“I am aware of the water problem facing my people here in Rubochi, just like other communities, which, by the grace of God, we are going to tackle headlong as soon as financial situation of the council improves,” he said.
