Beyoncé’s Lemonade debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard charts

Beyoncé’s visual album ‘Lemonade’ will debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, Billboard reports. This milestone makes ‘Lemonade’ Beyoncé’s sixth album to reach the top of the charts.
‘Lemonade’ sold 653,000 equivalent album units (which now includes streams) in its first week (ending April 28th), making it the biggest album in terms of sales so far this year, according to Billboard. But then there’s Drake, who also released an album this past week, and sold a massive 600,000 copies in a single day. Beyoncé’s numbers are probably lower than Drake’s, at least in part, because she didn’t sell her album on its release day, and it was a Tidal exclusive.
Still, Beyoncé is the only artiste whose first six albums (2013’s ‘Self-titled,’ 2011’s ‘4,’ 2008’s ‘I Am… Sasha Fierce,’ 2006’s ‘B’Day,’ and 2003’s ‘Dangerously In Love’) have not only reached the No. 1 slot, but debuted at it. These first six albums also make up Beyoncé’s entire discography so far.
