“I’m here to clear the rumours up,” Tina Knowles told Ellen DeGeneres in a special appearance on her chat show.
“The truth is that it’s me, not Beyonce, that’s pregnant. It’s me…I’m kidding! No, no, I’m 56!”
“I’m looking forward to it (Beyonce’s pregnancy). But with all the rumours, by now I should have about five or six children.”
An American website ‘broke’ the story, claiming that the 29-year-old singer had unexpectedly fallen pregnant as she prepared for a world tour.
Beyonce was said to have been in her first trimester.
The Bootylicious star and her rapper husband – real name Sean Carter – are notoriously private when it comes to their relationship.
The couple (pictured in June) started dating in 2002 and married in a secret New York ceremony in April 2008.
