A Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered surety to IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe to produce him on the next adjourned date.
Justice Binta Nyako also summoned Abaribe to appear in court to explain the whereabouts of Kanu or in the alternative forfeit the bail bond of N100m.
Abaribe alongside Jewish High Chief Priest, Immanuu-El Shalom and a chartered accountant residing in Abuja, Tochukwu Uchendu signed for Kanu’s bond in the sum of N100m each.
Abaribe’s cousel, Obiechie Ogbonna had asked the court to discharge him of the suretieship because Kanu has not been seen after the military raided his residence in Umuahia, Abia State in September.
Kanu is standing trial alongside Chidiebere Onwudiwe, Benjamin Madubugwu and David Nwawusi on five count charges of treasonable felony, unlawful possesion of firearms and criminal defamation.
Meanwhile there was pandemonium outside the court as security operatives tried to stop one of the defendants who sought to address the press on their plight.
