The annual event that lasted for a week from December 6 to 13 2014 took place in Bida, Niger State, and attracted people from far and near.
The sports and athletics event consisted of football, field and track events and indoor games.
Governor Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu, accompanied by many members of his cabinet, graced the closing ceremony of the event.
Prior to the finals, Bida measured up to the standard by keeping to its entertaining play, drawing soccer fans from Bida and its neighbouring communities to the Polytechnic’s main stadium to witness the occasion.  
Although, the host, Bida team, could not make it to the final match in football, the team took the 3rd position.  
It also won gold medal in 5,000 metres race and a number of trophies in other games.
Bida also bagged the award of the overall ‘Best Behaved Team’ throughout the games competition.  
At the final match, Abia State Polytechnic, Aba, emerged victorious with a 3-1 win over Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin.
Yaba College of Technology, Lagos, popularly referred as Yabatech, emerged as the overall best award, followed by the Polytechnic of Ibadan and Abia State Polytechnic, Aba, respectively.  
President, NIPOGA Council, Engr. Abdullahi Sule while declaring the games closed, handed over the NIPOGA flag to Federal Polytechnic, Nasarawa, as the host institution of NIPOGA Games 2015.
Various awards and trophies were presented to winners in different categories of the games including scrabble, volleyball, tennis, athletics and taekwondo.
