The students, Ekwugha Lawrence Uchechukwu and Adegboyega Michael Dare, said the machine is designed for the mechanical preparation of molding clay and water to make it easier to have a uniform mixture.
While explaining the features of the machine and how it works, they said the machine consists of cylindrical pan, two heavy rollers; two ploughs working with the rollers which enable it scrape sand from both the side and bottom of the pan which it places in front of the roller; and a discharge door at the bottom of the pan.
They also explained that the machine’s components are made from material locally sourced.
Speaking on the project, the supervisor, Mr. Yahaya Adamu expressed enthusiasm on how his students were able to carry out such practical use of local resources, adding that such students should be encouraged to follow their abilities even outside the school.
