Obiagwu said the bills: Administration of Criminal Justice Bill, Violence Against Persons Prohibition Bill, and the Prison Reform Bill, which are at advanced stages of being passed into law, will comprehensively reform criminal justice administration in the country.
Also speaking the chairman of the Federal Ministry of Justice’s panel on law reviews, Prof Yemi Akinseye-George said the criminal justice reform bills will deepen the administration of justice by adequately safeguarding the interest of vulnerable persons such as women and children, protect witnesses and accelerate criminal trials by limiting adjournments.
