The Benue State Board of Internal Revenue Service (BIRS) has applauded the Department of State Services over the arrest of one Joseph Orih, an alleged notorious kingpin behind illegal checkpoints in Benue South Senatorial District (Zone C).

The acting Executive Chairman of BIRS, Emmanuel Agema, on Thursday, noted that Orih’s arrest was a significant success in the effort to rid the state of all illegal checkpoints and other fraudulent activities associated with revenue collection.

In a statement by his media aide, Jacintha Bernard, Agema assured that he would give all the necessary support to security agencies in the state to ensure the arrest of other members of Orih’s gang.
