Bishop of Wusasa advocates for declaration of state of emergency in North

Bishop of Wusasa

From Abubakar Sadiq Mohd, Zaria

The Bishop of Wusasa, Anglican Diocese, Bishop Ali Buba Lamido, has advocated declaration of a state of emergency in the northern part of the country.

This, he said, will bring to an end to terrorism, banditry and kidnapping prevailing in the region.

The bishop made this appeal in his Christmas message while delivering a sermon at Wusasa Anglican Diocese, Zaria.

He observed that the insecurity situation in the North was continuously becoming alarming and pathetic, hence the need for the federal government to take rigorous measures to stem the menace.

Bishop Lamido said, “Though the federal government is making Nigerians believe that it is winning the war against bandits, the situation on the ground is far from the reality.”
